EntrepreNorth’s Build Your Business: From Idea to Action workshops support aspiring and early-stage Indigenous entrepreneurs who are exploring a business idea or looking to strengthen an existing one. Delivered in partnership with Indigenous governments, organizations, and communities, these workshops provide a practical and supportive introduction to entrepreneurship that is grounded in Indigenous values and Northern realities.

The workshops are designed as an accessible entry point for people who are curious about entrepreneurship and want space to think creatively, learn foundational skills, and build confidence alongside others in their community.

    Sahtú Region Workshop

    A full-day virtual session to explore your business idea and connect with peers. Exclusively for Indigenous entrepreneurs living in the Sahtú region. While we prioritize youth (ages 18-35), we warmly welcome everyone to apply regardless of age!

    Where: Virtual (9:00am-4:00pm)

    Deadline to Apply: August 31

    Support: $200 bursary & childcare available

    Open to All Territories (NU, NT & YT)

    A full-day virtual session to help you take the next step on your entrepreneurial journey. Open to all Indigenous entrepreneurs across the 3 territories. While we prioritize youth (ages 18-35), we warmly welcome everyone to apply regardless of age!

    Format: Virtual (9:00am - 4:00pm)

    Deadline to Apply: September 14

    Support: $200 bursary & childcare available

    Open to All Territories (NU, NT & YT)

Everything You Need to Know

  • Build Your Business: From Idea to Action is a virtual space to help you take the next step on your entrepreneurial journey. Whether you are just starting to dream up an idea or are ready to put a plan in motion, we are here to support you in building a business on your own terms.

  • These workshops are designed for Indigenous entrepreneurs living in the NU, NT & YT.

    • The September 3 workshop is exclusively for those living in the Sahtú region.

    • The September 18 and 25 workshops are open to all Indigenous entrepreneurs across the 3 territories.

    For all of our sessions, we prioritize youth (ages 18-35), but we warmly welcome everyone to apply regardless of age!

  • We know your time is valuable. To support your participation, all attendees will receive a $200 bursary. Childcare support is also available upon request so you can focus on your learning.

  • All workshops are full-day virtual sessions running from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (timing is subject to change, but we will keep you updated!). Please note that space is limited for the September 18 and September 25 open-theme workshops.
