Catalyst, Sinew Impact Fund

Danica Taylor is an Inuk from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, and Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at the University of Calgary and is a Haida Gwaii Institute and Students on Ice alumna.

Through her Catalyst position and every role she holds, Danica champions Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit values through tunnganarniq- fostering good spirits - and qanuqtuurniq - being innovative and resourceful. She is the owner of Pihujui’s Candles, a homemade candle business featuring flowers from the Kivalliq region.

As a certified traditional games instructor through Indigenous Sports Circle NWT, Danica enjoys teaching Inuit games to youth across the North. She is also a Fireside Chats and Connected North Session Host with TakingITGlobal, where she facilitates interactive virtual programming for students in remote schools across Canada, supporting equitable access to education and mentorship opportunities.
