Times: 9 AM–4 PM MST.
Format: Virtual, with breaks throughout the day.
Details: This workshop is open to Indigenous participants of all ages, with priority given to youth ages 18–35.
$200 participation bursaries are available, with the amount based on participation.

Across Northern communities, there are people creating, making and finding new ways to share their skills with others. Maybe you've been making beadwork or clothing, taking photos for friends and family, selling something you've created or offering a service that people in your community keep coming back for. Or maybe you've noticed something your community could use and have been thinking about how you might make it happen.
Sometimes these ideas start with something we love doing, something we've learned from the people around us or an opportunity we see to do things a little differently. And when you begin wondering whether that idea could become a business, there's often a lot to think about.
How do you know what to charge? Who might be interested in what you're offering? What would you need to get started, or how could you build on what you've already created?
Those are questions worth spending time on, and you don't have to work through them on your own.
On Thursday, November 26, EntrepreNorth is hosting Build Your Business: From Idea to Action
Build Your Business: From Idea to Action is a virtual workshop for Indigenous participants who are interested in starting a business or have already begun building something of their own.
Throughout the day, we'll share knowledge, learn from one another and give you dedicated time to work on your own business. You'll have an opportunity to think through what you're offering, who you hope to reach and the practical steps you can take to move forward.
Whether you're still developing your idea or have already started selling products or offering services, the workshop is a chance to spend meaningful time working on your business with guidance and support along the way.
We know that building a business in the North can look different depending on your community, your goals and what you want to create. What matters to us is making space for you to bring your own experiences, ideas and knowledge into the conversation while developing something that works for you.
By the end of the day, our hope is that you'll leave with a clearer understanding of your next steps and a plan you can continue working on.
